Red yucca, or Hesperaloe parviflora, is a showy, drought-tolerant perennial with bright flowers, curved leaves, and slender stems. It adds dramatic interest to any garden bed, even a rock garden. It can grow to 2 to 3 feet tall with flower spikes up to 5 feet tall. It is also often used as a potted or border plant.
